Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept commercial and Medicare plans. See in-network insurance's in the "Services" tab.
Do you treat children?
No, I currently treat adults only.
What if I don't have insurance?
I accept private pay. Rates are located in the "Services" tab.
Do I have to use my insurance?
It depends on the insurance.
For commerical plan, no, you can choose to pay privately. It is common to choose private pay due to its extra layer of confidentiality.
Medicare/Medicaid - yes, you have to use your insurance if I am in network. It is considered fraud to pay privately if the provider is in network.
Does it matter where I am located during virtual sessions?
Yes. You must be physically located in a state where I am licensed. Currently, I am licensed in Florida and South Carolina.
How much will sessions cost?
If using insurance, it depends on your specific plan. Most plans have a specific co-pay assigned. If you have a deductible, your co-pay will not begin until you have met your deductible. Contact your insurance company to confirm your information. EAP is based on your employer's benefit. Confirm with your employer. If paying privately, rates are in the "Services" tab.
Are skills-building workshops covered by insurance?
No. Skills-building classes are private pay only. They are educational only.
Do I have to pay privately if I have insurance?
No, if I accept your insurance, I will not and can not request you to pay privately.
What if you are not in-network with my insurance plan?
I can provide you with a superbill. A superbill is a receipt outlining the fees you paid to include dates, and services. Client's submit superbills to their insurance company for reimbursement if they have out of network (OON) benefits.
Will you share my information?
Your information is protected under HIPAA. However, certain circumstances may require me to share information. Some examples: If I am ordered to provide records by a judge via a subpoena. If you threaten harm to yourself or someone else. If you give me written permission to discuss your care with your other providers, such as your Psychiatrist. If your insurance company conducts an audit of your records.
Can I make an appointment if I don't have ADHD or work in public service?
Yes, I'm experienced in treating depression, bipolar disorders, adjustment disorders, and personality disorders.
